The Deluxe King Ocean View room was such a treat. Super clean and decorated with a funky artistic vibe that I loved. The bed was really comfy with great linens. Plus, having that ocean view was a nice bonus. But, I did notice the maid service wasn't super consistent, which was kind of a bummer.

Unique artistic flair weaved throughout the property with rooms designed distinctly, reflecting a charming and eclectic atmosphere. The outdoor seating areas with lush greenery created a relaxing vibe that really drew me in, perfect for unwinding after a long day.
The overall cleanliness left something to be desired. I noticed ants on the walls and dust in corners. The bathroom amenities were sparse, with only a single pump bottle of soap and shampoo provided, making it clear this isn’t a place for modern luxury. Limited housekeeping during my stay resulted in a feel of neglect, and I found the common areas a bit cramped, lacking space to relax. The property did show signs of age, needing some updates to bring back its former glory.

charming stay but lacks communal space
The property radiates character, with a cozy, artistic feel. The bed in our room was surprisingly comfortable, ensuring a restful sleep each night. I enjoyed having access to a small fridge and microwave, which made snacks easy. The nearby beach provided a delightful backdrop, with lovely sea views that enhanced our relaxed vibe.
More common areas for guests to gather would really elevate the experience.

I really enjoyed the unique charm of Les Artistes Inn. Each room tells its own artistic story. I stayed in the Van Gogh room, which offered a lovely ocean view, and the décor felt like stepping into an art gallery. The bed was incredibly comfy, and I got the best sleep I’ve had in a long time. I loved the inviting atmosphere and the quaint, local feel of the whole place. One morning, I stepped out to find complimentary coffee and fresh fruit, which was a nice touch. The patio space was cozy, perfect for enjoying the ocean breeze after a day at the beach. However, cleanliness could use improvement. I noticed some spider webs and dust in corners, which made me uncomfortable. Also, the floors had sand that seemed to accumulate over time. The lack of modern amenities, like a coffee maker in the room, felt inconvenient for a longer stay. Despite these issues, I found the hosts extremely friendly and accommodating. I'd recommend this place for its artistic vibe and comfort, but potential guests should be aware of some cleanliness concerns that need addressing.

We loved the charming vibe of the Inn, especially our delightful stay in a room with a private patio overlooking a beautiful garden. It was super convenient to pop over to the Del Mar Fairgrounds, where we enjoyed the lively atmosphere. Our precious dog loved it too!
In my wife’s opinion, a small playground would be great.

This was just an appropriate option for a day tour in Del Mar with good value. I was grateful to find a convenient coffee spot in the lobby at 7:30 AM. Make sure to request extra blankets ahead of time as they might not have enough on hand.
